Norad
Norad is the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation.
Norad’s central tasks are to give technical advice to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the foreign service missions, assist in the work of quality assurance of development cooperation, initiate and implement independent evaluations of Norwegian aid, and communicate about Norwegian aid and the results thereof.
Norad administers grant schemes; 12 per cent of Norwegian aid funds go through Norad.
LHL International receives financing from Norad for the majority of the work in fighting tuberculosis in southern Africa and Nepal. This financing has been coordinated through the Atlas Alliance, but, as of 2015, LHL International has a separate project agreement with Norad. We produce annual reports on what the funds are used for and the results that are attained.
